Major Update

After a long absence from this site and a good bit of time to just relax and find myself, I’ve decided that I’m going to quit Tumblr for a while. This account will be dead indefinitely. I’ve already lost a hand full of followers from my absence and if you want to unfollow me then go ahead. I’m not sure if or when I’ll be back on but I just wanted to let everyone know that the time I’ve spent on this site was something else. I’ve met a good bit of people on this site. Some good, some not so good. 

I will say, however, that this site, to me at least, has really lost its luster. I remember when my sister first told me about Tumblr. She spoke of a promised land of sorts where the people treat each other with respect and the drama and hate that is seen on other sites is non existent. Unfortunately, I can’t say that that rings true today. Over the last few months I have begun to see hate and drama that you’d half expect to see on 4chan. Now, I’m sure a lot of people would say “Well you can just unfollow or ignore people who post that kind of stuff.” That’s not the point. The point is no one should eversay or post some of the things that I’ve seen. It doesn’t matter if I shield my eyes from it. It’s still there and still very real.

I digress. I’m not making this post to vent or anything. But I do want to say a few things before my good bye. My name is David but most people call me Dave. I figured I’d say hello :). I have depression and have had it for as long as I remember. Some days I’ve been in a really bad mood and I’ve come to Tumblr to cheer myself up. I’ve always been of the mentality that just because you’re in a bad mood it doesn’t mean that you should drag everyone down with you. I’ve always refused to post anything sad or depressing. I wanted this account to be for people who are having a bad day to find and (hopefully) bring a smile to their face. I plan on keeping this account active (hell I don’t even know how you delete a Tumblr page) and hope that it can still serve that purpose even though I am gone. Like I said though, this is only and indefinite thing. I’ll most likely pop in further down the road and post something stupid just for kicks.

For now though I’m saying “see ya later” and I really hope that all of you have a lovely day/days ahead of you.
